We all need a little solace at times. Solace doesn't mean lonely or necessary alone time - for me it means comfort and a sense of contentment within. The coast allows me that solace. On a moody overcast day the silence of an empty beach - save for the waves meeting shoreline - brings quiet solace in which I can 'just be'.
